Lesson Content

1. Bartimaeus was a blind man who sat by the road begging. He could not see the sky, the trees, or even his own hands (Mark 10:46).

2. One day he heard that Jesus was walking by! He shouted as loud as he could, "Jesus, have mercy on me!" (Mark 10:47).

3. People told him to be quiet, but Bartimaeus shouted even louder. He knew Jesus could help him (Mark 10:48).

4. Jesus stopped and called for him. Bartimaeus jumped up and came to Jesus. Jesus asked, "What do you want me to do for you?" He answered, "Lord, I want to see!" (Mark 10:49-51).

5. Jesus said, "Go your way; your faith has made you whole." Right away Bartimaeus could see! He followed Jesus, full of joy (Mark 10:52).

Talk about it: When we are sick or sad, we can pray to Jesus — He hears us every time.

Moral
