2. Some jealous men tricked the king into making a rule: "Pray only to the king, or be thrown to the lions!" (Dan. 6:7-9).

3. Daniel was not afraid of the new rule. He kept right on praying to God, just like always (Dan. 6:10).

4. The jealous men told the king, and Daniel was thrown into the den of hungry lions. The king said, "May your God save you!" (Dan. 6:16).

5. God sent His angel to shut the lions' mouths, and they did not hurt Daniel at all! In the morning the king was so happy, and everyone learned how great Daniel's God is (Dan. 6:19-23,26).

Talk about it: Daniel prayed every day. When do you talk to God?

Moral
