Lesson Content

1. In the beginning there was nothing — no sun, no trees, no animals, no people. Then God began to make everything (Gen. 1:1).

2. God simply spoke, and things came to be! He said "Let there be light" — and there was light (Gen. 1:3).

3. God made the sky, the sea and the land; the sun, the moon and the stars; plants, fish, birds and all the animals (Gen. 1:6-25).

4. Last of all, God made the first people, Adam and Eve, in His own image. He loved them very much (Gen. 1:26,27).

5. God looked at everything He had made, and it was very good. On the seventh day He rested (Gen. 1:31; 2:2).

Talk about it: Look outside — what are some wonderful things God made that you can see?

Moral

Everything around us — the sun, the flowers, the animals, and you — was made by God. We thank God for His beautiful world.

Memory Verse
